What Aquila Browser is
Aquila Browser is an enterprise security extension deployed by an organization's
administrators to managed devices. It detects and controls AI-service traffic in the
browser to give the organization's security team visibility into AI usage.
What it processes
- AI-service request/response content (e.g. prompts and completions)
on pages and endpoints identified as AI services.
- Request metadata — destination, timestamp, originating site, and a
device/user identifier established at enrollment.
How it processes data
- On-device first. Detection and policy evaluation run locally in the browser.
- Reporting is scoped and configurable. Captured activity is transmitted
only after the device is enrolled (paired), and only to the
organization's own backend — the destination is set by the organization's
administrator via managed policy. Content is redacted according to the organization's
configured privacy mode before transmission.
Where data goes
Only to the deploying organization's own backend. Aquila Browser does
not send data to Alterion or to any third party. There is no advertising,
no data sale, and no use of the data beyond the stated security purpose.
Data retention
The device holds a small local buffer of pending events until they are uploaded to the
organization's backend, then removes them. Retention of reported data is governed by the
organization's own systems and policies.
User control
The extension is administrator-managed; enrollment, configuration, and revocation are
controlled by the organization. Detection and blocking operate on-device and require no
external service to function.
